Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences offers full time MPhil and PhD programs in Mathematics.
The School aspires to be a middle of excellence in mathematical sciences winding up innovative analysis that pushes the frontiers of information.
Admission Requirements for the MPhil Program
Applicants having an M.Sc Mathematics degree or a four year B.S Mathematics degree are eligible to apply. Applicants waiting for the result of their final exam or those in the final semester of the M.SC or the four years B.S program can also apply.
Admission to the program will be based upon past academic performance, admission test and interview conducted by the School. The School would require exclusive time commitment from its students. Financial assistance will be provided to the students, subject to the availability of funds.
The MPhil admission test will have the following format.
Objective part (90 minutes) | Break | Subjective part (90 minutes) |
This part will be MCQs. English 20% Analytic/logical reasoning 20% Mathematics 20% | This part will consist of five questions from the list of topics given here. |
• To apply for admissions, please fill the online application form. The last date to apply for admission is March 08, 2019.
• The admission test will be conducted on March 30, 2019 at the Government College University, Lahore.
• It is mandatory for the applicant to bring the Roll Number Slip and CNIC with him/her at the time he/she will appear for the admission test.
• Solely short-listed candidates are necessitated the interview.
